This is a great example of the student-centered classroom with a teacher as a facilitator/ guide, teaching a language item/ grammar point in content through task-staging by using group work and incorporating the practice of all major skills (thus considering different learning styles such as visual, auditory, kinaesthetic): listening, speaking, reading, writing, doing, correction/ reflection and personal experience rather than someone else’s.

Language Item + Content + Stages/Skills:

  1. Creative Activity
  2. Language Item within Context
  3. Apprentice Model
  4. Student-Led Error Correction
  5. Controlled Practice Exercises
  6. Learner Personalisation
